University of Lynchburg students have organized a 5K to help them provide physical therapy to people in need in the Lynchburg area.
The Run for the Hills Fun Run will raise money for the University of Lynchburg Community Health Clinic, which provides free physical therapy to people living in the City of Lynchburg or its surrounding counties who are uninsured, underinsured, or who have exhausted their insurance plan’s physical therapy benefits for the year. LC Doctor of Physical Therapy students and faculty provide care as part of a community outreach program.
The 5K fun run will be held Saturday, October 3, at 9 a.m. and start at Shellenberger Field. Participants will take one lap around the track before circling the Dell and then proceeding along roads going around campus, such as College Street and Vernon Street.
Registration is $10. Participants can register to walk or run at https://www.raceentry.com/race-reviews/lc-run-for-the-hills-fun-run
