Adjunct Faculty in the Doctor of Medical Science Program
Dr. Steele is an adjunct faculty member for the University of Lynchburg DMSc program. She works full-time as a Professor and Director of the Charleston Southern University Physician Assistant Program in Charleston, S.C. She is a graduate of the Emory University PA program, earning a Master of Medical Science, and she completed her DMSc degree with the PA Education cohort at the University of Lynchburg.
Steele is a volunteer, promoting the PA profession, leadership among PAs, and advocacy for practice. Currently, she serves on the Leadership Mission Advancement Commission with PAEA. Most recently, she served on the board of directors of a federally-qualified health center (FQHC) in North Carolina. She has been a member of the North Carolina Academy of Physician Assistants, where she served on two state-level committees before relocating to South Carolina.
She is passionate about PA education and mentoring new members of the academy as well as those transitioning to leadership roles. She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Associates in OBGYN and the American Academy of Physician Associates.
