*You may not combine the mathematics minor with this major.
The mathematics minor at Lynchburg immerses students in methods of mathematical thinking and reasoning, regardless of their major. This minor not only enhances your analytical and problem-solving abilities, but also augments your primary field of study by strengthening your background in various mathematical concepts.
The curriculum begins with a foundation in calculus I and II, followed by a course on mathematical reasoning and proof. These initial courses provide a broad understanding of fundamental mathematical principles, the ability to construct logical mathematical arguments, and the skills to analyze and solve complex problems.
Beyond this foundation, you’ll pick from advanced math courses that focus on differential equations, linear algebra, abstract algebra, advanced calculus, and more.
