*You may not combine the Spanish minor with this major.
The Spanish minor is designed to improve students’ proficiency in the Spanish language and expand their understanding of Hispanic cultures. This minor presents an excellent opportunity for students who wish to enrich their major with an in-depth exploration of the Spanish language, literature, and culture.
On top of a solid foundation of the written and spoken language, students can explore various aspects of Hispanic culture, including literature, cinema, and history, in courses like Cinema in Spanish, Hispanic Literature in English Translation, The Culture and Civilization of Spain, or The Culture and Civilization of Latin America.
With broadened language skills and deep cultural awareness, the Spanish minor prepares students for a diverse range of career paths in an increasingly globalized and multicultural world.
