Why is GiveDay different from any other day?
Hornets help each other get where we want to go! GiveDay is a day for all Hornets to come together and celebrate our past, present, and future. It’s your chance to honor what you love most about Lynchburg!
Who can participate in GiveDay
Alumni, parents, faculty and staff, students, friends — anyone and everyone who wants to support Lynchburg can make a gift ($5 minimum).
What types of gifts are accepted on GiveDay?
All types of gifts will be counted. This includes new or additional gifts for this fiscal year and payments on existing pledges.
Gifts made online, by phone, or in person between now and GiveDay 2024 will be accepted. If you would like to make your gift by check, please write “GiveDay” in the memo.
All gifts received between now and GiveDay 2024 will be included in our GiveDay 2024 numbers.
If I make a new pledge (not a gift), will I count as a GiveDay donor?
Yes, new pledges will be counted during GiveDay. However, if you currently have a pledge and wish to make a payment during GiveDay, that payment will not be counted toward our donor totals.
Can I give to any fund on GiveDay?
Absolutely! Any donation made to an institutional fund will be counted toward our donor totals. In case you don’t find the fund that you wish to support, select the “Other” option in the designation menu and mention the name of your preferred fund. One of our Advancement staff members will get in touch with you to confirm the details.
Is my payment secure?
YES! As is the case every day, all payments will be processed using a secure online giving form.
Will my gift be tax-deductible?
YES indeed!
