At University of Lynchburg, we are committed to helping students develop the knowledge and skills for success in their work, in the community, and in their private lives.
To support positive student-parent relationships, we emphasize to students the importance of providing you with information regarding their academic and co-curricular progress.
Although our faculty and staff are happy to talk with you about University standards, regulations, and services, they are not able to provide you with specific information about your student’s progress (except for certain disciplinary situations involving dependent students; the Hornet, the student handbook, has more information).
If you are concerned, however, do encourage your student to contact University personnel about needs and concerns. University personnel who are asked by parents to intervene in students’ academic and/or co-curricular activities will involve the student directly. In this way, your student takes responsibility for his/her own college experience.
