Presented by Geoffrey Kershner.
In my time running the Academy Center of the Arts and in launching Small Town/Big Arts, my online resource for small community arts delivery, I believe that there are five key qualities arts organizations need for success in a small town or city. In my talk, I will share examples of these qualities that we use at the Academy as well as examples from successful organizations I have interviewed across America through my Small Town/Big Arts podcast. From the west coast of Alaska to the mountains of Kentucky, there is exciting work being done to create successful communities through the arts.
