We are dusting off our cowboy boots and hats as we return to the stage for the University of Lynchburg’s annual “Night at the Movies” concert. “We’re Back in the Saddle Again” will feature the Wind Symphony and Orchestra and Community Big Band and include music from a variety of iconic Western movies, including “City Slickers,” “Annie Get Your Gun,” “Saddle Up!,” “Red River Valley,” “Silverado,” “Desperato,” and “Happy Trails.”
In addition to performances by the Wind Symphony and Orchestra, directed by Dr. Oeida Hatcher, and the Community Big Band, directed by Dr. Chris Magee, there will be vocal performances by alumni Madison Wares ’19 and Sloane Kelly ’22, and a return of the Old West Cowboy Band featuring strings, bass, harmonica, and steel guitar. Everything in Sydnor Performance Hall reflects a return to the OK Corral.
Persons needing accommodations for disabilities at a University of Lynchburg event should contact the Center for Accessibility and Disability Resources at least one week before the event.
