Summer Scholars program for high schoolers features health sciences, art
The University of Lynchburg will host two immersive college prep courses for rising ninth through 12th graders this year. Summer Scholars Program: Health Sciences, which premiered last year, will take place June 25-30. A new addition, Summer Scholars Program: Arts, will happen July 16-19.

It’s a Wednesday morning in the Walker Human Performance Laboratory and Dr. Sean Collins’s Science of Strength class, part of the 2021 Summer Residential Governor’s School for Mathematics, Science, and Technology, is learning how to test for VO2 max, or how efficiently the body utilizes oxygen.
