The University of Lynchburg’s 2024 Homecoming and Family Weekend will be held from Thursday, Oct. 17, through Sunday, Oct. 20. While the Classes of 1974, 1979, 1984, 1989, 1994, 1999, 2004, 2009, 2014, 2019, and 2024 are officially in reunion, there are many events open to alumni, current students and families, faculty, staff, and the public.

Lynchburg celebrates 15 years of ‘Night at the Movies’ on Feb. 22 and 23
The University of Lynchburg will present its annual “Night at the Movies” concert at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday and Friday, Feb. 22 and 23. “Encore! Encore! Movie Concerts in Review” will be held in Schewel Hall’s Sydnor Performance Hall. The event is free and open to the public, but all seating is reserved and tickets are required.

Lynchburg goes ‘On the West Side’ for spring movie concert
On Friday, March 24, the University of Lynchburg will present “On the West Side with Bernstein, Mozart, and ‘Rudy.’”
Lynchburg launches harmonica program
For the first time, students at the University of Lynchburg can add harmonica to their class schedules. This fall, the University launched an accredited harmonica program — thought to be the only one of its kind in the U.S. The half-credit course, Applied Music-Harmonica, is taught by world-renowned musician and adjunct music professor Dr. George Miklas.
Fall theater season kicks off Sept. 16
The University of Lynchburg’s fall theater lineup features five performances throughout the semester. “Curtain Call and Dance Works,” the first show of the year, will be presented on Friday, Sept. 16, in conjunction with Families Weekend.
