Samah Rash came to Lynchburg to explore her passions for science and the arts. Now, the Iranian-American alum is working with youth from Central Asia and the Middle East. She was accepted into the Yale School of Public Health and was the lead editor at the Yale Journal of Health Policy, Law, and Ethics.

At Lynchburg, Rash’s academic journey was marked by interdisciplinary exploration and leadership. Majoring in biology with a minor in English, she maintained a stellar GPA, placing her among the top two percentile of graduating seniors. Beyond academics, Rash engaged deeply with campus life, serving in leadership roles and leaving her mark as editor-in-chief of The Prism magazine.

Her passion for literature and creative expression was evident in her published and award-winning poetry, showcasing her multifaceted talents.
