The outdoor recreation department offers a large variety of both on and off campus opportunities. For students interested and looking to get off campus and experience the outdoors for a day or two, look no further than the outdoor recreation trips. We have weekly trips to local natural attractions that include, but are not limited to hiking, climbing, biking, camping, fishing, rafting and much more. The outdoor leader ship program has opportunities for students to learn and grow their skills as leaders. The outdoor leader ship program offers both high and low ropes challenge courses that are available for both university groups and Community organizations.
The outdoor leadership certification program is a co-curricular program designed to help students gain a foothold in the outdoor industry. Throughout the required eight courses students will gain the knowledge training and experience to be certified as the outdoor leader with the wilderness education Association.
