You’re automatically considered for academic scholarships once you’re admitted to the University — no separate scholarship application is required. Transfer students must have at least 12 transfer credits to be considered for scholarships.
Transfer scholarships range from $12,000 to $18,000 for students entering in the fall of 2022.
These scholarships are awarded to traditional, full-time transfer students based on college GPA for all coursework attempted.

Refer to your scholarship letter for academic standards required for renewal. In addition to the first year, scholarships are renewable for each year the student attends the University of Lynchburg, if renewal eligibility is maintained.
You may receive only one of these awards.
Access students (adult learners age 25 and older) are not eligible for these awards. However, Access students do receive a discounted tuition rate.
*Eligible degrees include associate of arts, associate of science, and associate of arts and science degrees granted by a Virginia community college or equivalent degrees from out-of-state schools.
